Balancing the tradition of excellence, the school community expects and the challenge to excel the 21st century demands, St. John faculty set goals for instruction and learning that that lead to a shining outcome for all students. Students at St. John receive daily instruction in the areas of language arts, math, science, social studies, and religion. Focusing on the tools needed to prepare students to be 21st century learners, in the last three years includes more than tripling the amount of technology devices in our school. The school continues to make a focused effort as a faculty to use iPads to enhance the level of instruction and learning experiences for all students in all subject areas.
Students receive a full range of fine arts, physical, and technological instruction in addition to the traditional course of study. Outside the realm of the classroom, they are encouraged to be creative and to share their talents in extra-curricular activities that range from musical theater and art clubs to athletic teams and robotics design and programming. Learning happens throughout campus and out in the community, to best engage the students to be active in their learning and their experiences in and out of the classroom.
