Student Life

From the tallest to the smallest, we believe every child is special with unique talents and gifts to share. Through faith, service, and participation in clubs, activities, and athletics, St. John students embrace opportunities to grow academically, spiritually, physically, artistically and socially, all of which set them on the path to becoming future leaders in their communities.
The school has worked to increase the number of clubs and activities for students at every age, beyond the broad-reaching athletic program that has been active for many years. Daily, 20-30 students pray before going to recess as part of the Rosary Club. For its musical debut, the middle school Drama Club sold out both performances in April with over 1000 viewers. In subsequent years, St. John has added a Junior Drama Club and an Intermediate Drama Club, giving students of all ages an opportunity to participate in this popular activity.
Similarly, our Technology Club has inspired the development of a Junior Technology Club. St. John also offers a First Lego League Robotics Club for middle school. Team competitions use the Lego EV3 robots to complete a variety of missions at our local community colleges, universities, and high schools. For students who enjoy the outdoors, we offer a birdwatching club in which students learn to track and identify different species of birds based on visual markings and bird songs.
